As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect our daily lives and we can't gather as we normally do, we're planning to hold Ultreyas regularly on Zoom, some on weekday evenings and some on Saturday mornings. 

We will need Cursillistas who are willing to give a Lay Witness Talk, to lead the event as Ultreya Lay Rector, or to be involved in the worship by doing a reading or leading some prayers. If you have a story to tell or would like to be involved in one of these ways, the Fourth Day Group would love to hear from you.

Dear Cursillistas and Friends

I write with sadness to bring you two pieces of news.

The first is that the GB Ultreya, scheduled for September in London and Southwark dioceses, has, perhaps inevitably, had to be postponed due to the ongoing uncertainty brought about by the coronavirus crisis. It will now take place on Saturday 3 September 2022.

Secondly, please pray for the repose of the soul of the Revd Julie Connell, Spiritual Director of Southwark Cursillo, who died this week after suffering a massive heart attack a few days earlier. We also pray for her husband Graham, her wider family, and all who knew her through Southwark Cursillo and her work as a priest. Julie contributed so much to us, as a Spiritual Director on one of our recent weekends, and also as part of the GB Ultreya organising committee. May she rest in peace.

On a more positive note, our Lay Director, Martin, has taken part in a fundraiser for Christian Aid on Global Running Day (3 June). Martin ran a half-marathon as part of a team effort in which over 100 miles were run or walked in total.
