Saint Katharine’s in Butcher Row is extremely well served by tube, rail and road connections. It is immediately adjacent to Limehouse Station, the second stop on the Docklands Light Railway (from Bank or Tower Gateway). It also adjoins two roads from the Tower of London – the Highway (A1203) and Commercial Road (A13)
Take the Central, Circle, District or Northern Line to Bank. Change on to the Docklands Light Railway. Limehouse is about 5 minutes by DLR from Bank. After alighting at Limehouse, Saint Katharine’s is signposted. Go under the railway bridge and turn left into Butcher Row. Saint Katharine’s is 50 yards down on the left.
Various services also run to the BR Limehouse station. Train information is available from the 24 hour Travel Hotline on 020 7918 4000.
Coming through or from Central London, go down the Embankment/Upper Thames Street to the Tower of London and take the Highway (A1203). Immediately before the entrance to the Limehouse tunnel, turn left into Butcher Row. The entrance to the Foundation is on the right. Free car parking is available if pre-booked. Coming from the M25, turn off at Exit 30 and take the new A13 dual carriage way through Dagenham to Stepney and Limehouse.
The No 15 bus runs from central London (Trafalgar Square and the Strand) and stops on Commercial Road opposite Limehouse Station but it is a slow way of getting to Saint Katharine’s compared with the Tube.
London City Airport is a short taxi ride from Saint Katharine’s.
